This Site is for the use of all my  Friends. My name is Robert Palmer, I am retired,  and my favorite hobby is Scenery, and Macro design for Microsoft Flight Simulator. During the 60's I was a student pilot, and soloed in many of the small aircraft of that era.  Hence my interest in Flight Simulator.

I have been doing scenery designing, and macro designing for about three years now. I am presently using  Airport 2.60 & FSSC for scenery design, I also make use of EOD, Easy Object Designer and 98 to BGL for macro design. I use several of Martin Wright's texture programs to create textures. I  find all of these Freeware programs to be excellent. At this time I have about 30 Scenery, and Macro files uploaded to Avsim.com and Flightsim.com File Libraries.

New Just released to Avsim, and Flightsim.com Library.
Visit The NEW PROJECTS PAGE for new Tree Library files for V2 trees, also some new Tree mix API's are to be included in the Archive.

Just released to Avsim and Flightsim.com Scenery Libraries, (mktwlk.zip)  New  Scenery Upgrade. Mark Twain Lake V3, for Fs2004.  Many improvements with built in mesh. Been 5 months in the upgrading process. All new macros, many new scenery additions. No more flat shorelines, natural looking bluffs along shorelines. Go to New Projects page for some screenshots.

Visit the NEW Aviation & Agriculture page!!

Many of us have now obtained Fs2004, I am happy to report, that most of our scenerys that were created for Fs2002 will work quite well when installed into Fs2004. Also as far as I can tell all my macros work properly in the new sim. This is good news, as there were rumors that nothing but Gmax scenery and aircraft would work. Over the next 2 years I plan to upgrade most of my Fs2002 scenerys for Fs9. Will be employing some new methods and greatly improved macros now available.

The above screenshots are new macros of a group of trees that are included in the new Tree Macros that have just been uploaded to Avsim, and Flightsim.com. They are the original V2 tree macros now provided with a library file and all new API's to greatly increase frame rates. The new library file has been provided by Dr. Herbert Heissengerger. There are 7 new API's of tree groups of different species and include from 12 to 25 trees in one API.

PLEASE NOTE THESE API MACRO FILES ARE FOR SCENERY DESIGN ONLY. THEY CANNOT BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY INTO FS2004.

Please visit the New Projects Page for more information.

Well many of us have received the new FSX flight simulator. Most of us have found that we need to upgrade our computers to get the most benefit from it. I am sorry to report that my FS2002 and FS2004 sceneries will not work properly in the new FSX. However the trees with the new library files work nicely, and also most of the api's I created will work in scenery design. To upgrade all my sceneries for FSX will be quite a chore. I am not sure I will be up to it. Mostly lately I have been helping other people with scenery design. I have surely met many wonderful people this way from all over the world. Also I have been enjoying flying more in Flight Simulator. Scenery and macro design can just consume nearly all your spare time. I am enjoying the new FSX, but my old computer is surely not adequate, guess it is time to buy a new one. Wishing everyone a good year ahead.
Bob
